Route optimizer

From the Live Map we can launch the route optimizer by clicking on the + button. Previously it is necessary to have  configured an optimization profile.

Agency

selector From the agency selector, the agencies whose expeditions we want to optimize are chosen.

The agency selector shows a dropdown with all agencies to optimize one, several or all agencies at once.

Routes

There are two options:

• Keep today's routes will add the new expeditions in new routes, keeping the routes already created (whether they have started or not).

• Deleting the routes and reoptimizing all day again will keep the routes that have already been started. Those that are not yet, will be deleted and new expeditions will be added.

Drivers

The optimizer allows you to create routes both with a previously assigned driver and without a driver, generating a route code that can then be scanned.

• Create driverless routes will generate routes with an associated QR code that the delivery person can scan to assign all the expeditions that constitute it.
  
  

• For it to work, it is necessary to have previously configured the order of vehicle preferences in the optimization profile settings.

• Using all available drivers in the agency will make available to the optimizer all the active drivers in the agency to find the best routes (this does not mean that they will all have packages assigned). Selecting this option allows access to Quadrant Management to consult the schedule, agency and vehicle of each driver.

• Select drivers manually allows you to choose which active drivers in the agency can use the optimizer to plan routes. Those that are not chosen will never be assigned to any route or package.

Finally, we can prioritize the assignment of routes and expeditions based on various criteria with the preferences selector.

Optimization results

After selecting the relevant settings and clicking Optimize, the optimization is launched .

When finished, the summary of the routes optimized by agency.

You can click on any of the agencies to display the information of their expeditions and their routes.

If there has been an error, in the Unoptimized Expeditions we can see what has been left out of the optimization and possible causes for it.
