Warehouse users can access the Scanner section to read barcodes or QRs of the shipments of their agency/s.
From here, both the camera and laser (if equipped) of the workroom mobile device, whether it be a mobile phone or PDA, can be used to scan package labels.
Both the QR code and the barcode on the shipping labels can be scanned. In case the camera or laser is not available, the barcode can also be entered manually using the keyboard.
From this tab the user can:
Scan the shipment to consult the information: to view the information of the shipments that are scanned in the warehouse.
Scan to modify the values of the scanned shipment: to edit the information of the shipments that are scanned in the warehouse
If the second option is selected:
Select from which Agency it is going to be scanned
Select the values that you want to overwrite when scanning a shipment and press "Start scanning"
For more information on the labels of an expedition and how to obtain them, see our article on Labels.
Scan to consult the information
This function is used to consult the information of the shipment to which the label belongs.
By scanning the QR code, barcode or entering it manually, we will see the information of the expedition and its status.
*This image contains the complete information, remember that when accessing from the mobile device, you will see the information arranged vertically.
Scanning to change the status of a shipment
You can also use the scanner to quickly change the status of multiple shipments.
Select the agency from which we are working/scanning and we select the new status that we want to assign to all the expeditions that we are scanning.
From the scanning screen, we can see what state we are assigning and we can click on it to change it back.
After scanning the QR code, barcode or entering it manually, the shipment will change status to the one we have indicated. The number of packages of the shipment that we have scanned will also be displayed, so that we do not leave any package, as well as the information of the shipment.
Important note: the number of packages scanned is not saved between users - it is an indicator of the packages scanned in the same scanning session by the same user.
